Weekly report #6
This week marked significant progress in the pre-production phase of Same Time Tomorrow, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, networking, and building the team necessary to move the project forward.
I began the week by connecting with several students who expressed interest in being part of the film. These conversations helped establish a stronger foundation of support within the student community and opened doors to potential collaborators. During this process, I had a meaningful interaction with a kind woman who guided me toward reliable casting resources. Her direction was extremely valuable, as it helped me overcome one of the most challenging hurdles, which was finding the right people for the film.
Through the connection she provided, I was introduced to a student named Isaac with production experience who has now agreed to assist with the filming process. Securing his support is a major milestone, as it strengthens the production team both technically and creatively.
In addition to these new partnerships, I continued reaching out to peers to fill casting needs. These efforts paid off, and I now feel confident that most of the post-production crew is assembled and prepared. Having this crucial part of the team in place brings a sense of relief and motivation moving forward. It reassures me that even though the journey is demanding, momentum is building and real progress is being made.
Overall, this week was productive and encouraging. With casting resources secured and key team members coming on board, I feel optimistic and energized as I move into the next stages of production.
