Weekly Production Report #1

 

This week I went to the new MLK building with my friend MJ, who is also helping me with

my senior film. We spent some time scouting for potential shooting locations, walking through

different areas of the building, and imagining how certain scenes might play out on camera.

Taking the time to explore the space gave us a better sense of how the setting could add to the

atmosphere of the film and which spots might be the most practical for shooting. After finishing

up at the MLK building, we headed over to the library to go over the rough draft of the script.

While reviewing the script, we noticed several errors and areas that could be improved to

strengthen the overall quality of the story. This weekend, I plan to go back through the draft

carefully and make the necessary revisions so that MJ and I are fully aligned on the direction of

the film. Once the script is finalized, our next step will be casting, and we’re planning to reach

out to peers who might be interested in taking part. Finalizing these details now will put us in a

good position to start moving the project forward in a more concrete way.
